Who is UKNOF for in 2024? UKNOF is on pause while the community brainstorms its future. This is a start to a discussion about who UKNOF needs to serve in the future.
UKIF statement of UKNOF future
Around 90 people met in Manchester at UKNOF51 on Monday and Tuesday 3rd and 4th April 2023. This was our first multi-day event. In 2023 we are running two, two-day UKNOF events instead of three one-day events. There were also around 30 remote participants using Zoom, submitting questions in Mattermost.
13 speakers presented on a variety of Internet operations topics. We also programmed plenty of time for people to speak with each other.

We are updating UKNOF’s committee structure, following improvements in governance. The Advisory Committee has fulfilled its purpose and won’t be included in the new, and more formal, structure we have created.
UKNOF51 is taking place on the 3rd and 4th of April 2023 in Manchester and the Call for Presentations (CfP) is now open. UKNOF looks for talks that provide ‘clue’ to the industry, so if you are working on something interesting or you know someone who is, there’s a potential speaking slot available for you and or them. Speakers can present over the Internet if they cannot be in Manchester.
About 100 people met in London at UKNOF50 on Thursday, 22 September 2022. Another dozen people participated online and engaged with industry colleagues using our Mattermost server. This was another hybrid event. Most speakers presented in London with some joining over the Internet. 11 speakers presented on a variety of Internet operations topics. We also programmed plenty of time for people to speak with each other.
