Technical background comes from working for providers of equipment and services to operators in the UK and the USA in both large multinationals and startups (Hewlett Packard, Chernikeeff Telecommunications, Netsys Technologies, Cisco Systems, cPacket Networks, Arista Networks, XKL .. ) and advisory work for users of and investors in businesses enabled by the Internet.

Volunteer experience includes operations for a 501(c)(3) library charity, and advisory work for the Scottish Business Network.

Now located in Edinburgh after 25+ years in Palo Alto and Los Altos, California.
