Brett Carr

I’m Brett Carr currently managing the DNS Operations and Engineering team at Nominet, we are responsible for running the DNS and DNSSEC platforms for many TLDs including .uk, my team also run a Protective DNS Resolver service used by the majority of the public sector in the UK.

At ICANN I’m currently one of the ccNSO representatives (and vice chair) to the Customer Standing Committee and also a member of the ccNSO TLD-Ops standing committee.

My internet career started back in 2000 when I worked in the NOC for UUnet/Worldcom since then I have worked in DNS related roles at the RIPE NCC and ICANN. I have been a semi active member in the DNS Community (DNS-OARC, IETF, RIPE) for the past 20 years and part of my current role is to be actively engaged in these areas. I’d like to join the tech WG to further engage in ccNSO ICANN activities.
